As a kid I was absolutely obsessed with gorillas after the first time I saw them in the zoo, but I also realized that I hated zoos. So I would look up specific ways that I could help gorillas and other animals, and though there are many "save the wildlife" types of sites. I wanted to make a site that was specific to gorillas and the issue of multiple species on the verge of extinction.
